Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our team focused on delivering secure and efficient software solutions for federal government projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices, security protocols, and federal compliance standards. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle while ensuring adherence to federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and maintain DevSecOps practices in alignment with federal standards and regulations.
Design and automate CI/CD pipelines to ensure secure and efficient software delivery.
Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans throughout the development lifecycle.
Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate security measures into applications and infrastructure.
Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices for software development and deployment.
Monitor and analyze security incidents, providing timely responses and remediation strategies.
Stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance requirements relevant to federal projects.
Provide training and guidance to team members on secure coding practices and DevSecOps methodologies.
Assist in preparing documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in software development, DevOps, or a related field.
Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and tools in a federal context.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security services.
Knowledge of federal compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA, RMF) and security standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Information Systems Security Professional - CISSP, Certified Cloud Security Professional - CCSP).
Experience working on federal contracts or with government agencies.
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
